The Highway Patrol reports that 23-year-old Shaniyah Barnes of Montgomery Alabama and 36-year-old Gacolby Moore of Pontiac Michigan both suffered moderate injuries when a truck driven by 25-year-old Aguilar Lucas Velasquez was stopped in the roadway and a car driven by Moore hit the truck from behind. Both Barnes and Moore were taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The accident happened on Highway 60, five miles west of Birch Tree.
