The highway Patrol reports that 77-year-old Brenda Blacketer of Mountain Grove was killed, 24-year-old Kasara Frost of Mountain Grove suffered serious injuries and 22-year-old Emily Schneider of Vanzant suffered moderate injuries when Blacketer ran off the road, then skidded back across the highway and hit the vehicle that Frost was driving. Frost was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, and Schneider was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital. The accident happened on Highway W, three miles south of Vanzant.
