
On 12/04/23, Deputies received a report of a domestic assault that occurred in Gainesville. During the investigation, pictures were taken of the victim’s injuries and as the victim was leaving the Sheriff’s office, the suspect sped by. Lieutenant Rhoades spotted the suspect and attempted to stop him in his patrol vehicle. The male turned into a driveway and ran inside the residence as Lt. Rhoades’ lights were on and he was yelling for the male to come back to him, and he was under arrest. Lt. Rhoades pursued the suspect inside after the suspect ignored the commands. He located the male inside the house. During the arrest Daniel Johnson resisted, but was still taken into custody and was arrested and booked in jail for Domestic Assault, Resisting Arrest, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
On 12/03/23, Deputy Sherman and Deputy Moss conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that is known to be driven by Tiffany Tuscano. Lieutenant Rhoades had been conducting an investigation of an assault and harassment that occurred several weeks before in the Phillip’s gas station parking lot. The same day Lieutenant Rhoades received video footage of the incident, concluding the investigation, and was searching for Tiffany for her arrest. Deputy Sherman and Moss arrested Tiffany and she was booked for the two charges.
On 11/25/23, deputies received a call of a domestic assault in progress in Gainesville. On their way to the location of the incident, they located the victim driving away. The investigation revealed that Kyle Sprague and the victim got into an argument which led Kyle to ram his pickup into the victim’s vehicle causing significant damage to the victim’s vehicle. Due to past Domestic Violence incidents between them threats of violence and the belief he was going to kill her, the victim shot a legally owned pistol at Kyle’s truck, striking his truck three times. He was located a short distance away and arrested for Domestic Assault.
On 11/25/23, Deputies were called to a location in Dora about a male shooting his landlord with an airsoft gun. Deputies arrived and determined Troy Rayfield was mad at his landlord over a small dispute and decided to shoot his landlord several times as he walked by his cabin in the morning. Airsoft pellets were located, and the male was arrested and booked for assault and harassment. Side note, airsoft, while fun for consenting individuals, does not help strained relationships.
On 11/18/23, Deputy Sherman and K9 Karo conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in Bakersfield. K9 Karo indicated the presence of a controlled substance inside the vehicle. Chris Ashmead was a passenger in the vehicle. Chris admitted that he had “spice” in the vehicle and that it was probably laced with PCP. Karo again indicated the presence of a controlled substance in the “spice.” Karo is not trained to and does not alert to Marijuana, indicating that something more potent was in the “spice.” He was arrested and booked for Possession of a controlled substance.
On 11/24/23, Deputies were called to a residence in Gainesville over a verbal dispute. Upon arrival the victim alleged that BettyLou Miller had threatened the victim and kicked open the victim’s front door. The door was damaged, and BettyLou was arrested and booked for Harassment 1st and property damage.
On 11/18/23, Deputies were called to a residence in Theodosia over a neighbor shooting a slingshot at another neighbor and threatening to kill that neighbor. Deputies arrived and investigated, and Timothy Frye was arrested and booked for Harassment 1st and Assault.
On 11/18/23, Deputy Sherman sought a search warrant from the court and was granted that warrant. Deputies served that search warrant at the residence of John and April McCullough in Gainesville. Paraphernalia and Meth were located in the residence, and both were arrested and booked for possession charges.
