Three people were injured, two of them seriously, Sunday south of West Plains. 49 year old Candy Gilliam and 49 year old Ricky Ledbetter both of West plains both suffered serious injuries when a car driven by 26 year old Robert Mattes of West Plains hit the UTV they were riding head-on, ejecting Gilliam from the UTV hitting a International Truck. Both Gilliam and Ledbetter were flown to Cox South in Springfield. Mattes suffered minor injuries. The accident happened on county road 8530 about three miles south of West Plains.
