On January 12, The Howell County SWAT unit executed a search warrant at a residence on US Highway 60 in Mountain View, MO, for illegal narcotics and firearms. Methamphetamine, several items of drug paraphernalia, ammunition, and an illegal firearm were seized from the residence. Johnson Burks of Mountain View was placed under arrest and transported to the Howell County Adult Detention Center. Burks has been formally charged with possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm, and possession of an illegal weapon. Mr. Burks is currently held on a $75,000 bond.
