On Wednesday the Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver, Joshua McCary did not have a valid driver’s license. During a consent search of the vehicle, controlled substances and several pieces of paraphernalia were discovered. McCary and his passenger Sean Foster were placed under arrest and transported to the Howell County Adult Detention Center pending formal charges, for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving While Revoked.
