An ice storm warning is in effect until 3 this afternoon for parts of our listening area. The National Weather Service issued the warning for Howell, Douglas, Ozark, Texas, and Wright Counties. Significant icing is expected. Total ice accumulations between a quarter of an inch and three-tenths of an inch. Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice. Travel could be nearly impossible.
Travel is strongly discouraged. If you must travel, keep an extra
flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
Prepare for possible power outages.
