According to reports, 29-year-old Alex Payton Stoops broke into a home in Rural Mountain Home Saturday night. Stoops was shot in the shoulder by the victim with a .22 rifle. Stoops is charged with felony residential burglary and criminal mischief. Misdemeanor criminal mischief, criminal trespass, battery, assault, and public intoxication. His bond is set at $50,000.
