On February 08, 2024, the West Plains Police Department received several reports of a social media post containing information on a possible threat to students and staff of the West Plains R-7 School District.
The West Plains Police Department and West Plains R-7 School District worked closely to investigate the matter and concluded that there are NO current threats to the school district or community.
The safety of our schools and community is a top priority of the West Plains Police Department. All matters involving the safety and well-being of students should be reported to the West Plains Police Department and West Plains R-7 School District as soon as possible.
