A Former West Plains and Thayer Priest is one of three recently named by the Springfield Diocese with allegations of sexually abusing children. Father John Brath served St Mary’s Church in West Plains and the Sacret Heart Church in Thayer from 2001-04, the allegations against Brath were from the mid 1970’s, long before he served the Churches in Thayer and West Plains . Brath moved to Lebanon after leaving West Plains and Thayer and retired in 2007, he passed away in 2014.
