On February 9, 45-year-old Charles Edward Slater was arrested on one count of rape. Then later in the month, he was arrested again on a warrant for four counts of rape. The charges stem from incidents in January of 2019 and an incident in December of 2023. A young victim reported that she had allegedly been molested by Slater. The incident was reported to the Arkansas Crimes Against Children Hotline. Slater is being held on a $250,000 bond and will be in court on April 1.
