BOONE, N.C. (3/1/24) – Arkansas State men’s basketball concluded the regular season Friday night, dropping an 80-57 decision at league-leading Appalachian State inside the Holmes Convocation Center.

Taryn Todd and Avery Felts led the Red Wolves in scoring with 14 and 13 points, respectively. Derrian Ford and Izaiyah Nelson had seven, with Nelson grabbing 10 rebounds. A-State shot 35.3 percent from the field on 24-of-68, including 5-of-26 (19.2 percent) from deep, while forcing 10 Mountaineer turnovers.

Arkansas State now turns its focus to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, which begins March 5 in Pensacola, Fla. The Red Wolves, which earned the No. 4 seed and double-bye to the quarterfinal round, will open tourney play at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9,
