The highway Patrol reports that 18-year-old Maria Cobb suffered moderate injuries when she swerved to miss an animal in the roadway, drove off the road, and struck a tree. The accident happened on Route A, seven miles south of Doniphan. Cobb was taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital.
