The 50th edition of the Players Championship saw a tournament first as Scottie Scheffler claimed the PGA Tour’s flagship event for the second straight season. It was a one-stroke victory for Scheffler, whose 20 under score bested 54-hole leader Xander Schauffele, 36-hole leader Wyndham Clark and Brian Harman, who all shot 19 under.
