Aid’s Antiques closing

One of ECNN’s neighbors in the West Plains square is closing its doors.

Just a few doors down from the 100.9 The Train studios, what was once known as Aid’s Hardware, before transitioning to Aid’s Downtown Antiques late in the previous century is calling it quits.

Toney Aid, the four-generation owner of the 130-year-old business simply said it’s time to close.

Opening in the late 1800s, and rebuilding in 1915 after a fire, Aid says the building is not for sale and that the business will begin their closing sale over the 2024 Solar Eclipse on April 8.
