35-year-old Heather Shelton of Kearney Mo. was arrested and charged with first-degree assault, armed criminal action, and tampering with physical evidence. Around 3 Thursday morning, a victim was taken from a residence on Highway 17 to the hospital with a stab wound. The victim claimed that he was stabbed by Shelton. Deputies found Shelton covered in blood. Witnesses confirm that Shelton stabbed the victim.
