The latest unemployment numbers from the Arkansas Division of Workforce Services and the Missouri Economic Research and Information Center show February’s unemployment rates in north-central Arkansas improved while southern Missouri counties saw an increase when compared to January.
In Baxter County, the rate declined from 4.7% in January to 4.1% in February. Baxter County’s rate is tied for the 36th lowest out of Arkansas’ 75 counties. There are 680 unemployed Baxter County residents out of a workforce of 16,723.
Missouri’s rate increased from 3.8% in January to 4% in February.
