
WEST PLAINS, Mo. – Three members of the Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP) Grizzly Softball team have been named to the 2023-2024 Missouri Community College Athletic Conference (MCCAC) all-conference team.
Freshmen Jordyn Foley, a pitcher from Ozark, and Zoey Williams, an infielder from West Plains, were named to the first team. Sophomore shortstop Kenzie Massey, Grandby, was named to the second team.
“Jordyn Foley, Zoey Williams and Kenzie Massey were the backbone of our team,” former Grizzly Softball Head Coach Don Long said. “They led the team on and off the field. They were three exceptional young ladies who dedicated much of their time to community service and team efforts. They were dedicated, hardworking and exceptional athletes. I look forward to watching them grow as athletes and young women in our community.”
Foley led NJCAA Division I pitchers in strikeouts with 354 this season. Her ERA in the Missouri in the MCCAC was 2.13 with 134.2 innings pitched. She won 34 games and saved one of the team’s 35 wins.
Williams had 74 at bats in the MCCAC this season with 25 RBIs, 19 hits, .257 batting average and a fielding percentage of .953. Williams led the team in RBIs, as well as home runs with 15.
Massey had 70 at bats in the MCCAC this season with seven RBIs, 26 hits, a .371 batting average and an .878 fielding percentage. She led the team in stolen bases with 37.
