A Winona family is mourning the loss of a 13-year-old who has died following his injuries from an ATV accident.
He was a passenger in a 2022 Massimo 500 ATV that overturned last Sunday after the 9-year-old driver from Willow Springs tried to make a left turn on Railroad Drive, a half-mile south of Willow Springs according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The teen was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment of serious injuries and was pronounced dead later that night. Missouri law enforcement does not publicize the names of minors due to laws protecting their privacy.
