Several injuries reported in local accidents

A Salem Arkansas man was injured in an accident north of Bakersfield Tuesday afternoon. 58-year-old Dennis Goss suffered moderate injuries when he crossed the center line and hit two towed units of a vehicle driven by 30-year-old Christopher Robinson of Mountain Home. Robinson was not injured. The accident happened on Highway 101, north of Bakersfield. Goss was taken to Ozarks Healthcare.

Two people were injured in an accident in Texas County Tuesday evening. The Highway Patrol says that 43-year-old Norman Jackson of Licking and 36-year-old Victoria Waldrop of Houston both suffered moderate injuries when Waldrop hit the rear of a side-by-side driven by Jackson, ejecting him from the vehicle.  Both Waldrop and Jackson were taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital. The accident happened on Highway BB, four miles west of Highway 63.

 

Four Baxter County teens were injured in an accident on Tracy Ferry Road. Michael Adkins, and Victoria Glenn of Rural Mountain Home, Kaleah Gryb of Mountain Home and Morgan Kneirim of Norfork all suffered minor injuries when Adkins failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the road, hit a mailbox and a large tree. All four were taken to Baxter Health. Adkins faces charges for refusal to submit to a chemical test, minor in possession, tampering with physical evidence, open alcohol container, possession of a fake license, fleeing on foot, and DUI.

 

A man from Viola was injured in an accident Sunday on Highway 223. 45-year-old Chester Woodruff was injured when he lost control of the vehicle and went down a steep embankment. Woodruff was taken to Baxter Health.

 

A woman from Ironton was injured in an accident in Texas County Tuesday night. 31-year-old Kimberly Helms suffered minor injuries when a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Aaron Helms of Winona attempted to make a left turn on a blind hill and a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Kyah Rutledge of Summersville crested the hill and hit the vehicle driven by Helms. The accident happened on Highway W, three miles southwest of Summersville.
