Days after storms and high winds swept through southern Missouri and northern Arkansas, the National Weather Service has confirmed there were more tornadoes than previously thought.
An EF-0 hit northern Ozark County with wind speeds of up to 80mph- no injuries or property damage, just some uprooted trees; and EF-1 in Fulton County, a tornado near the intersection of U.S. 63 and Squirrel Hill Road knocked down over 50 trees, and one of those trees did fall onto the roof of a house. Then there’s what the National Weather Service is simply calling the “Briarcliff Tornado”; it was an EF-3 producing winds of up to 140mph, resulting in vegetative debris and it overturned five fifth-wheel RV campers at a local RV park, also bending an entire steel pole for electrical lines to the ground. The Briarcliff tornado also resulted in seventeen injuries.
