The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that 36-year-old Shaun Hughes suffered serious injuries when he drove off the road and overturned the UTV he was driving. Hughes was flown to Cox South in Springfield. He also faces charges of DWI and failure to maintain the right half of the roadway. The accident happened on County Road 358 a half mile south of Thayer.
