Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders visited Baxter County on Sunday to view storm damage from last week. The governor was in Briarcliff where the National Weather Service confirmed an EF3 Tornado. Baxter County is the latest area to be approved for a federal declaration from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The Governor says they are still assessing the damage.
FEMA funding available to affected individuals can include assistance with grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses, and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover from the effects of the disaster.
