A West Plains man faces charges after allegedly hitting a woman with a piece of wood.

41-year-old Leland Collins was arrested in June in Pomona. A victim told authorities that Collins hit her with a piece of wood. The victim’s hand was injured and she was not able to fill out a statement because of the injury. She told police that she thought her hand was broken. She told police that she thought Collins was still in the home. She permitted authorities to search the house. Collins was found hiding in a closet. Collins has since pleaded not guilty to charges of Felony second-degree domestic assault and felony armed criminal action. The bond was set at $10,000
