The Sheriff’s Office reported that in July and August, the 3rd Judicial Drug Task Force and detectives with the Sharp County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into drug trafficking stemming from an inmate at the jail. During the investigation called “Operation Jail Mail,” agents monitored hundreds of hours of inmate phone calls, video calls, and text messaging. On August 6th Agents with the 3rd Judicial Drug Task Force, Sharp County Deputies, deputies with Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, Black Rock Police and Arkansas State Police executed a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling from Memphis. Officers then executed a search warrant at a residence in Ozark Acres, as a result, agents gathered enough evidence to charge Linda Kinsey of Williford with possession of a firearm by certain persons, theft by receiving, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Agents also filed additional charges on Randy Mitchell for possession of meth greater than 10 grams but less than 200 grams and illegal manufacture of liquor.
