A woman from Mountain Home has been arrested on felony counts of unlawful use of a communication device and tampering with evidence, as well as a misdemeanor count of obstructing governmental operations. 40 year old Theresa Taecker was arrested after she allegedly demanded employees at a business give her a vehicle belonging to a man that was in prison. Taecker told authorities that Kevin Burch, in the Department of Correction, had asked her to come pick up his car. As evidence of her claim, Taecker reportedly allowed an officer to view text messages on her cellphone. In reviewing her messages, it was discovered Taecker had allegedly purchased or attempted to purchase methamphetamine from a known local illegal drug dealer currently out on bond on multiple charges. Taecker reportedly admitted to attempting to purchase methamphetamine. She also allegedly admitted using the illegal substance and went on to say she wished she had some meth at that time. Her bond was set at $10,000.
