NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Individuals impacted by the severe storm system that passed through northern Arkansas on May 24-27 have one week left to apply for assistance through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The deadline to submit an application is Wednesday, August 28, 2024.
Residents of Baxter, Benton, Boone Fulton, Greene, Madison, Marion, and Randolph counties may be eligible for FEMA assistance for temporary lodging, basic home repairs, personal property losses, and other uninsured disaster-related expenses.
Arkansans who suffered damages are encouraged to apply with FEMA by August 28, even if they do not have repair estimates or insurance settlements yet. FEMA will work with an applicant to identify what information is needed to determine eligibility for assistance.
To apply for FEMA disaster assistance, you may go online at disasterassistance.gov, download the FEMA app, or call (800) 621-3362. The phone line is open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. CDT, and help is available in most languages. If you use a relay service such as VRS, captioned telephone service, or others, give FEMA your number for that service.
