The Thayer Police report that 77-year-old Richard Haigwood died when he crashed the pickup he was driving on Highway 63 near Warmfork Road. The crash was investigated by the Thayer Police, assisted by Missouri State Highway Patrol, and the Oregon County Sheriff’s Office. The Thayer Fire Department, Survival Flight, Oregon County Ambulance District, and Alton Police also responded to the scene.
Mr. Haigwood was an owner of Haigwood Insurance in Alton.
