Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander reports that on Tuesday, at approximately 8:33 pm, the Marion County Dispatch Center received a call regarding a deceased person at a residence on Marion County Road 4006. Deputies and Investigators responded to the scene and found a 59-year-old female deceased inside the residence. The body of the victim was transferred to the Marion County Coroner’s Office and will be transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
Sheriff Alexander stated Investigators processed the scene and conducted interviews, and the investigation is ongoing. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
