39-year-old Jimmy Jones was allegedly armed with a knife, and hatchet when he locked himself in the house and threatened deputies. Jones had active warrants from Colorado for domestic assault. The Howell County Swat team was called in and when they arrived they attempted to negotiate with Jimmy Jones, but he refused to cooperate. After deploying a non-lethal tactical device into the home, Jones exited through a back door with a knife in his waistband and SWAT Deputies ordered him to get down on his hands and knees, but he refused to comply. Additional non-lethal tactics were utilized, and Jones was finally handcuffed and turned over to the Shannon County Sheriff’s Office.
