Man Arrested In Sharp County After Man Hunt

The Sharp County Sheriff’s Department reports the arrest of a man who was the subject of a manhunt for just over a day. 35 year old Christopher Orrick was picked up and taken to the Tri-County Recycling Center to work off fines but left  the recycling center . The Sharp County Sheriff’s Department, Cherokee Village Police, Ash Flat Police and the Department of corrections K9 unit searched for Orrick that day then later that evening they received a report of a stolen vehicle. The next day they an officer with the Highland Police Department was notified that Orrick was staying at a house in Ozark Acres. A Deputy responded to the scene but Orrick had fled into the woods. Orrick’s Father pulled up and he came out of the woods and was arrested. Orrick told authorities that he had stayed the night with 52 year old Cleveland Pannell and 38 year old Brooke Williams, but he two denied knowing him and said he showed up but they ran him off. Pannell was arrested for hindering apprehension and faces additional charges after authorities discovered he had meth inside a medication bottle on him.
