The Independence County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of 48-year-old Rodney Vance. Vance fled from the Police on Schol Road. Vance reportedly went through a cemetery and continued to run from the police. Authorities set up spike strips at the intersection of Brustrom Lane and North Hill, but Vance drove through the ditch to avoid them. The vehicle continued on West 6th Street where at one point it became airborne. The vehicle then stopped at the intersection of 5th Street and Vine Street and Vance was arrested. Vance was taken to jail on several charges, including fleeing, reckless driving, no seat belt, improper turn, and several other charges.
