The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the 25-year-old was a passenger in a pickup driven by a 54-year-old Thayer man. The pickup ran off the road and overturned, partially ejecting the Mammoth Spring man. The man from Thayer identified as 54-year-old Robert Powell was taken to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains with serious injuries. Powell has been charged with felony DWI-death of another. The accident happened around 12:30 Sunday morning, seven miles northwest of Myrtle on Highway 142.
