Salem wins 3A State Football Championship

The Salem Greyhounds Football Team won their first-ever 3A State Championship holding off Bismarck 42-34 Saturday night at War Memorial Stadium. Jackson Taylor was named the most valuable player completing all five of his pass attempts for 129 yards and a touchdown and he had 15 carries for 69 yards and two additional scores. Kaden Brink led Salem’s ground attack with 25 rushes for 131 yards and two TDs, and he ended up with over 1,400 rushing yards for the season. The Greyhounds started the season at 3-3 then won nine straight games to finish at 12-3 and State Champions.
