High School Basketball
The Thayer Bobcats improved to 14-2 on the season with a first-round win over Branson in the Boliver Liberator tournament. Bobcats got a hot start and led 28-15 after a quarter. They went on to win 73-44. Easton Pitts lead four Bobcats in double figures with 22 points. Thayer advances to the semi-finals tonight at 7:00 p.m. where they will play against top-seeded Republic. The West Plains Zizzer boys lost to Hartville 54 to 31 Thursday night in the Mt. Grove Tournament. Zizzer boys are now 9 and 9 and will play in the finals Saturday night.
