Arkansas’ Bri Ellis named SEC Softball Player of the Week

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas senior first baseman Bri Ellis has been named SEC Player of the Week after a career weekend during the Razorbacks’ five run-rule wins at the LA Tech Classic, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

The senior first baseman batted .667 with eight hits, three doubles, four home runs, 15 RBI, seven runs scored and five walks while posting a 1.917 slugging percentage and .a 722 on-base percentage during the 5-0 showing. She recorded four multi-hit and four multi-RBI games. Seven of Ellis’ eight hits went for extra bases and she did not strikeout once during her 18 plate appearances in the five contests.

Ellis, the current NCAA active career leader in home runs with 55, is batting .583 this year with 14 hits, three doubles, seven home runs, 24 RBI, 12 runs scored and nine walks
