FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) Joe Burrow was 15 of 21 for 195 yards and a touchdown and the LSU defense dominated while leading the No. 9 Tigers to a 24-17 victory over Arkansas on Saturday night.

The win comes a week after LSU (8-2, 5-2 Southeastern Conference) was shut out in a loss to No. 1 Alabama, and it improves coach Ed Orgeron to 8-0 in games following a loss. The Tigers haven’t lost back-to-back games since dropping three straight in 2015.

CONWAY, S.C. (AP) Justice Hansen had three scoring tosses in the first half as Arkansas State took an early lead and then coasted to a 44-16 victory over Coastal Carolina in Sun Belt Conference action on Saturday.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — Missouri’s defense bent but didn’t break during Vanderbilt’s final drive, and the Tigers defeated the Commodores 33-28 to clinch bowl eligibility on Saturday.

Missouri kicker Tucker McCann had a chance to ice the game with 1:48 remaining, but the junior missed a 31-yard field goal to give Vanderbilt a last chance. The Commodores drove down to Missouri’s 25-yard line, but couldn’t convert a last-second heave to win the game.

The Missouri State Bears were routed the North Dakota State Bison Saturday, 48-7, The Bears fell behind 2-0 in the first quarter and never could recover. They trailed 34-0 at the half. Their only td was inn the third quarter, when running back Jeremiah Wilson ran one in. Wilson carried the ball 15 times for 87 yards in the loss.
