The large fire lasted nearly 12 hours and was officially contained around 3 am on Thursday. On Wednesday, high winds caused concerns that the fire would spread, and the Carter County Sheriff’s Office said an evacuation order might be needed. Sixteen fire department crews responded to the blaze.
