Man found guilty of trying to burn Sheriff’s house

A man accused of trying to kill Randolph County Sheriff’s Kevin Bell in July of 2022 has been found guilty.  40-year-old Bryan Rogers was found guilty on felony charges of attempted capital murder, arson, fleeing, and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer. Rogers allegedly set fire to the Sheriff’s home, then fled the scene but was caught after a short pursuit. Jurors deliberated for less than an hour.
