The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF-1 Tornado touched down southwest of West Plains on Wednesday. The NWS says that the tornado formed around JJ Highway to County Road 8800 near Southfork around 3:15 pm. It had wind speeds of 95 to 100 MPH and lasted for one mile. Several trees were uprooted and a roof was damaged to a farm building.
