Near record flooding and a curfew in Hardy

Near-record water levels were recorded in Hardy over the weekend. According to reports, the river crested at 22.29 feet, second only to the 29-foot mark set in 1982. The water has started to recede now.

In Imboden the water crested at 29.94 feet for their third highest mark ever recorded behind the floods of 1982 and 1915.

 

In Hardy Mayor Ethan Barnes has declared a state of emergency and set a curfew in and around the city. The Curfew remains in effect through Tuesday and is from 7 pm until 6 am. no one is allowed to operate a business or gather on the streets in Hardy.  For emergencies, call 870-994-2211 or 870-856-4811
