Authorities have now released the identity of the person found dead in Sharp County. The body was identified as Johhny Ray Bagwell, who was reported missing in Cave City in June of 2024. The State Crime Lab told authorities that the DNA matched Bagwell’s. They have not released the cause of death. Bagwell’s remains were found in a wooded area in Southwest Sharp County.
