The Highway Patrol says that the 10-year-old suffered minor injuries when the SUV, driven by a 40-year-old woman from Gatewood, hit a deer in the roadway. The girl was taken to Ozarks Healthcare. The accident happened on Missouri 142 at County Road 248, four miles east of Thayer.
