The news release says that Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders is working with the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management to appeal the denial. Damage assessments for the April 2 storms are still ongoing and as soon as the assessments are done, they will be submitted to the White House for a Major Disaster Declaration
