A man from Marked Tree was injured when he overturned a tanker truck just north of Koshkonong. The Highway Patrol reports the 53-year-old man suffered moderate injuries when he ran off the road and overturned. He was taken to Ozarks Healthcare. After the accident, the tanker spilled fuel, and Haz Mat crews were called to the scene.
After several hours of hard work, crews cleared Highway 63 near the intersection of M Highway north of Koshkonong last night around 5:45. A tanker truck had turned over early Wednesday morning, spilling fuel. Region G All Hazard Response Team, including firefighters from West Plains, Howell County Rural, Rover, Koshkonong, Thayer, Brandsville, 11Point Rural, and Willow Springs, worked the Haz-Mat incident near the intersection of Mo State Route M and US Highway 63 in Oregon County.
Other agencies at the scene include, Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Oregon County Sheriff, Oregon County Ambulance, South Howell County Ambulance, MoDOT, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, and Hughes Towing.
