41-year-old Israel Estrada Cannalte was sentenced in connection with the 2023 stabbing death of 43-year-old Max Hernandez. After a two-day trial, the Independence County Jury found him guilty of first-degree murder. Hernandez was found stabbed more than 50 times in his home in December 2023.
