The owner of a bar in Eminence has been charged with involuntary manslaughter. Shawn Nye who owns Salty Jack’s Bar was charged following the death this past weekend of Joseph “Chaz” Barnes who worked at the bar. Friends and family believe that Barnes would have lived had Nye called 911. Barnes allegedly fell head first down the stairs and hit his head on the door, Saturday afternoon. Nye is out of jail on bond and no court date has been set at this time. An autopsy will be performed on Barnes.
