According to the Highway Patrol,l a 80-year-old man from Bucyrus was killed, a 79-year-old woman from Bucyrus suffered serious injuries, and a 41-year-old man from St. Louis suffered minor injuries. When the vehicle the couple from Bucyrus was in stopped in a construction zone, and was hit from behind by the box truck driven by the man from St. Louis. The man from St. Louis was identified as William White. he was charged with felony DWI-Manslaughter, felony DWI-Assault, and Felony assault special victim. He was taken to the Texas County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold. The accident happened on Highway 17, five miles north of Houston.
