A man from West Plains and a Mammoth Spring woman were both injured in an accident south of West Plains. The Highway Patrol reports that a 68 year old man from West Plains was flown to a Springfield Hospital with serious injuries and a 67 year old woman from Mammoth Spring was taken to Ozarks Healthcare with moderate injuries after the West Plains man pulled onto the road and was hit by the vehicle the woman from Mammoth Spring was driving. The accident happened on Highway 63 at County Road 9030, four miles south of West Plains.
A Springfield man was injured in a Motorcycle accident in Douglas County on Thursday. The Highway Patrol says that the 74-year-old man was injured when he lost control of the motorcycle on a low-water crossing and overturned. The man was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The accident happened on County Road 549 west of Goodhope.
Two people were injured when their motorcycle hit a deer north of Gainesville. The Highway Patrol reports that a 24-year-old woman from Ava suffered serious injuries and a 51-year-old man from Ava suffered minor injuries when they hit a deer. Both were taken to Baxter Health in Mountain Home. The accident happened on Highway 5, five miles north of Gainesville.
A man from Salesville was injured in a motorcycle accident in Salesville. Police report that 50-year-old Shane Lee Jones suffered serious injuries when he lost control of the motorcycle and ran off the road. Jones was ejected from the bike and came to rest against a tree. He has been taken to Baxter Health. The accident happened on Schwartz Road in Baxter County.
