The 21-year-old man’s body was recovered after he had drowned earlier in the day at Peebles Boat Ramp. Divers from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, Arkansas Game and Fish, Evening Shade Fire, Poughkeepsie Fire, and Strawberry Fire Departments all responded to the boat ramp where the 21-year-old reportedly lost his footing while wading in the river. According to reports, a family member attempted to save him but was unsuccessful. No name has been released.
